WELL DONE!
You have discovered the 'Hidden Article' in ST NEWS!
We would like to quote the lyrics of a song by Metallica, still
one of the world's best Heavy Metal bands around. Here are the
lyrics of a song called 'Fade to Black' and they are really
depressing.....
Life it seems to fade away
Drifting further every day
Getting lost within myself
Nothing matters, no one else
I have lost the will to live
Simply nothing more to give
There is nothing more for me
Need the end to set me free
Things not what they used to be
Missing one inside of me
Deathly lost, this can't be real
cannot stand this hell I feel
Emptyness is filling me
To the point of agony
Growing darkness taking dawn
I was me, but now he's gone
No one but me can save myself, but it's too late
Now I can't think, think why I should even try
Yesterday seems as though it never existed
Death greets me warm, now I will just say goodbye
Lyrics by Hetfield, Ulrich, Burton and Hammet. 'Fade to Black'
can be found on the 'Ride the Lightning' album. I know this is
crazy, but Metallica is just the best.
Just listen to Metallica, and you'll know what I mean.
Since this article is 'Hidden' and therefore kinda 'anonymous'
and hard to get, we feel it is allowed here to do things that we
would normally not even dream of doing in regular articles.
No, don't worry: We will not start throwing X-rated stories and
whole lists of dirty words at you, but we have always had a
secret desire to send our dearest greetings to some of the most
gorgeous females walking around on our dear mother earth. Where
would mankind be without them?

Fly" Davis and all gorgeous girls among the ST NEWS reader's
circle (or their family) - send photos and you might win an
exclusive prize - a candlelight dinner with one of US!
OK. So far the bullshit about what members of the feminist
movement might call 'ridiculously sexist greetings'. Didn't we
mention the fact that you could win a true PRIZE after
discovering this 'hidden' article?! Well...here's what you have
to do: Send a postcard or letter to the correspondence address
mentioning the critical password:
YNGWIE
That's all you have to do (females can also send pictures that
might influence our decision). The first one that will be drawn
from the huge bag of mail will win an exclusive review sample of
Microdeal's latest game "J.U.G.", signed by US (hooray!). Twenty
runners-up will receive a true drinknut out of the party that was
left while making this issue of ST NEWS (so you'd better be fast,
or they will have decayed, or have been devoured by fungi or
Stefan's Stick Insects).
That's all insofar as the exclusive competition is concerned. We
would also like to brag a bit about ST NEWS here. Did you
actually know that our 'page-view' mode can handle all different
text styles? See:
BOLD UNDERLINED ITALIC LIGHT
Of course, it also handles combinations of these. See:
BOLD AND UNDERLINED BOLD AND ITALIC LIGHT AND UNDERLINED and of
course also UNDERLINED, BOLD AND ITALIC!
Have you seen any other disk magazine do this (except for
"F.A.S.T.E.R.", which unfortunately quit)?
No?
To be frank, we already guessed you hadn't.
And are your familiar with the speed of word processors and text
editors? Most of the time, they are very slow. And if they are
very fast, they cannot handle different text styles (like the
"Tempus" editor). So we can safely assume that ST NEWS involves
the fastest text routines anywhere in the world! Sorry that we're
bragging here, but we couldn't resist to this ever growing
temptation that we had suppressed for almost three years now.
And have you already seen the demo screens in this issue of ST
NEWS (I guess you have seen at least ONE of them, otherwise you
wouldn't have known that there was a hidden article!)? They are
quite nice, don't you think? The monochrome version even features
things NEVER before done on the ST ANYWHERE.
And yet, unlike other disk magazines, we do not get to use
double-sided disks, or write just a few short articles. No! We
wish to maintain a constant quantity of articles while STILL
making bigger and better demos in each issue (quite something
else than other disk magazines that only have about twenty very
short articles written in ghastly English and loads of digi-sound
and animation!).
We think it is now time to call it a day. This hidden article
should not become TOO large, you know. If we would continue, we
would have to resort to violent talk, own poetry (AAARRGGHH!) or
even worse....
We hope you liked this hidden screen. If you didn't,
well....that's a pity. Just send us a note so we can send you a
small package containing one of Stefan's Killer Stick Insects!
Bye!
The Editorial Staff of the best flippin' disk magazine on earth:
ST NEWS!
Personal remark from the Editor (Stefan is my name!), after all
this great immodesty, I can't resist mentioning a few people that
should really be mentioned here:
Alida....for just being.
Ronny and Tobjørn! Your tape was the most original reaction to
ST NEWS I have ever had! (Tobjørn!, Tobjørn!, Tobjørn!, Tobjørn!)
Frøystein 'Bitblatter' Hustadnes, FLAT?!
Well, before I start greeting all sorts of uninteresting people,
I would like to say those wholly immortal words: "Have a nice day
(or was it 'lay'....)"
Another personal remark from your special correspondent (Richard
is my name): I would also like to express my sincerest gratitude
to some people!
Ronny and Tobjørn! (See remark above)
Frøystein Hustadnes: For crazy letters and an unintended article
Patricia: I simply could not resists this. Though she will never
ever get to read this: I LOVE YOU STILL WITH EVERY MUSCULAR
FIBRE IN MY WHOLE BLEEDING HEART!!
Er...we started with Metallica, and we want to end with
Metallica as well. Since this article is hidden, the copyright
owners of their lyrics will never get to read it anyway. This
one's called 'Master of Puppets', and can be found on the 'MOP'
CD. Lyrics by Hetfield, Ulrich, Burton and Hammett.
End of passion play, crumbling away
I'm your source of self-destruction
Vanes that pump with fear, sucking darkest clear
Leading on your deaths' construction
Taste me you will see
More is all you need
You're dedicated to
How I'm killing you
Come crawling faster
Obey your master
Your life runs faster
Obey your master
Master
Master of Puppets I'm pulling your strings
Twisting your mind and smashing your dreams
Blinded by me, you can't see a thing
Just call my name, 'cause I'll hear you scream
Master
Master
Just call my name, 'cause I'll hear you scream
Master
Master
Needlework the way, never you betray
Life of death becoming clearer
Pain monopoly, ritual misery
Chop your breakfast on a mirror
Taste me you will see
More is all you need
You're dedicated to
How I'm killing you
Come crawling faster
Obey your master
Your life runs faster
Obey your master
Master
Master of Puppets I'm pulling your strings
Twisting your mind and smashing your dreams
Blinded by me, you can't see a thing
Just call my name, 'cause I'll hear you scream
Master
Master
Just call my name, 'cause I'll hear you scream
Master
Master
Master, master, where's the dreams that I've been after
Master, master, you promised only lies
Laughter, laughter, all I hear and see is laughter
Laughter, laughter, laughing at my cries
Hell is worth all that, natural habitat
Just a rhyme without a reason
Never ending maze, drift on numbered days
Now your life is out of season
I will occupy
I will help you die
I will run through you
Now I rule you too
Come crawling faster
Obey your master
Your life runs faster
Obey your master
Master
Master of Puppets I'm pulling your strings
Twisting your mind and smashing your dreams
Blinded by me, you can't see a thing
Just call my name, 'cause I'll hear you scream
Master
Master
Just call my name, 'cause I'll hear you scream
Master
Master
