POP POLL by Richard Karsmakers
Only four new entries this time, of which the highest entry is
"Operation Wolf" - well, we had seen that one coming all along.
"Super Hangon" seems pretty solid up on the highest spot, though
some of the excellent 'oldies' have all gone down a few spots
("Bubble Bobble", "Super Sprint", "Great Giana Sisters" and
"Arkanoid II"). "Starglider II" and even "Dungeon Master" also
seem to be retiring slowly but surely. And this is also probably
the last appearance of "Flightsimulator II" (game of the decade,
I suppose). As a matter of fact, ALL titles present in the
previous pop poll went down one or more places, except for "Tob
on on Top" that gained some and "Nebulus" and "Carrier Command"
that hold on to their places!
Apart from "Operation Wolf", the new entries are "Circus Games"
(with BRILLIANT graphics and gameplay, unfortunately not all too
playable), "Warp" (that one's surely got a good future ahead of
it - it would have been higher if it would have been commonly
available) and "Falcon" (which takes flight simulation to a peak
above "FS II").
