MANIFESTO "CYBERPUNK" - AN INTERNATIONAL PROJECT IN ART
by Stefan Colombier
1. Cyberpunk is open to everyone using the Atari ST for the
production of art.
2. Art is defined by the artist himself. You can draw pictures,
write programms for the production of pictures or whatever.
3. Everyone can participate the following way:
- Send a disk (single or double) containing your contribution
to the adress for ST NEWS Germany. Don't forget to enclose
postage (the same as with getting ST NEWS)
- You will get back a disk as full as possible with other
contributions (packed with depacking programm) as well as a
list of disks that exist of Cyberpunk up to then.
- The software/artworks sent have to be Public Domain, hacked
pictures from games or equal will not be accepted; you
should only send your own works.
What is the purpose? We, like other Atarians, originally have
bought this machine (among other good reasons) because of it's
superior graphical possibilities. During our hunt for beautiful
pictures, we have collected some that we would like to share with
other people, as well as the programs we have written for that
purpose. We are shure many other Atarians feel like we do.
Who is welcome? Everyone, male or female, no matter what race,
religion or poltical view is welcome to contribute. We hope for
response from all over the world. So all you freaks in Hongkong,
Rio or Moscow, or whereever: Send something!
What is welcome? Everything that mainly has to do with art in its
widest sense, e.g.
- Fractal programs and/or -pictures
- Drawing/printing utilities
- Pictures (no matter what mode)
- Animated scenes
- Poems (what about a poemgenerator?)
You can use every drawing program, but it would be helpful if you
would convert the pics to Doodle or Degas format. If you can't do
it, we will. When using a CAD-program, please state which (If it
is Public Domain (and only then!), please include it).
What you get back? If you do not forget to include enough postage
(IRCs) you will get your disk back filled with contributions that
arrived up to this date and our works. Pictures will be in Tiny
Format, so if you do not have Tiny-Series, please state so, we
will include the de-compacting program. Programs, etc. will be
supplied in Arc-Format; if you don't have Archive, etc. ...
Where to write to? you can find the contract address also as the

The text of the articles is identical to the originals like they appeared
in old ST NEWS issues. Please take into consideration that the author(s)

bad English, youthful arrogance, insults, bravura, over-crediting and
tastelessness should be taken with at least a grain of salt. Any contact
and/or payment information, as well as deadlines/release dates of any
kind should be regarded as outdated. Due to the fact that these pages are
not actually contained in an Atari executable here, references to scroll
