"Most people don't realize that large pieces of coral, which
have been painted brown and attached to the skull by common wood
screws, can make a child look like a deer."

SOON COMING IN "ST NEWS" - VOLUME 8 ISSUE 1
(ER...THE SEVENTH UNDEAD ISSUE!)
by Richard Karsmakers
In the upcoming issue of ST NEWS (probably Volume 8 Issue 1) we
hope to be able to offer you the following:
-------------------------- Solutions ----------------------------
Our personal custom adventure wizard, Math Claessens, gave us
lots of stuff to use. We have lots and lots coming up, at about
eight solutions per issue. Some of the titles over fourty titles
we'll have lined up for you are:
Conquest of the Longbow
The Secret of Monkey Island II
The Colonel's Bequest
The Sorcerer gets all the Girls (I and II)
Hero's Quest (I & II)
Space Quest IV
Police Quest III
And some old ones we accidentally missed out on
(We realise many of these games are not even out on ST)
(But who cares - now at least you can irritate PC people)
---------------------------- Reviews ----------------------------
The Chaos Engine
(The Forthcoming Bitmap game)
Hardcore
(Which is the provisional name of Jeff Minter's future game)
Das Buch zum Atari Falcon 030
(Which I really hope has to tell something that hasn't been
changed already, as it was released before the Falcon was)
One and a half year from the Life of Metallica
(Two official Metallica home videos to be released soon!)
The Ultimate Virus Killer book
(Yep)
--------------------------- Regulars ----------------------------
The Nature of the Beast
(More writings by Jeff Minter)
Probably some stuff about viruses on the ST
(As usual)
Quest For the Purification of the English Language
Part III
(An article series with a slightly not-so-obvious goal)
And all the other regulars, of course!
(Indeed)
--------------------------- Fiction -----------------------------
Brainwalk - Part II
(A new episode of what Alex started in ST NEWS Volume 6 Issue 2)
(It's beyond time it got finished, I'd venture to say)
The Jawman
(An enticing Tavern Story by Bryan H. Joyce)
And a whole lot more
--------------------------- Features ----------------------------
A revised edition of the Disk Magazine Encyclopaedia
(Possibly)
(Might actually take a while yet)
The results of the Big ST NEWS Poll of Volume 7 Issues 1/2/3
(It's about time)
Jeff Minter's Latest Shareware game
(Which will undoubtedly be rather fab)
An interview with the man as well!
(Which should be even more rather fab, needless to say)
Some more shareware games - of Michtron/Microdeal origin
(Steve Bak's "Lands of Havoc" and the game "Flipside")
The Complete and Unabridged Filmscript to "Eric the Viking"
(Which is quite witty)
And something not at all dissimilar of "The Meaning of Life"
(Also by those Monty Python chappies)
An interview with acoustic guitar wizard Bernd Steidl
(Which is almost 100% certain)
A real-time article of the Nutty Norwegians' "Holland Quest"
(For my humble abode will be visited by some of these Nicely
Nutty, Nauseatingly Nice Norwegians around New Year's Eve)
An article on Beast Keeping
(By John Weller, most esteemed colleague from "STEN" magazine)
Some nice stuff by Thomas Sandberg - Illegal Exception of SOTE
(Because it came in just too late for this issue!)
--------------------------- Education ---------------------------
GfA/MC680x0 Tricks
(Likely)
Various interesting reference/education bits for the Falcon
(Such as how to program the DSP, the new XBIOS functions...)
Programming XCONTROL modules
(Yeah)
That's it, folks! I hope nonetheless that this list of
forthcoming (or not) stuff will cause you to harass your Public
Domain Librarian for ST NEWS Volume 8 Issue 1 (i.e. the
Sevent Undead Issue). Do not expect this spring or thereabouts!
If you feel this is too much time between two issues, do feel
free to write a lot of interesting stuff yourself and send it to
us!
