                PART I: ACTION FIGHTER - PLATOON

 This   cheat   encyclopaedia  contains  all  cheats   that   are
compilable  at the moment.  I have reason to believe  that  never
before  so many cheats have been put together in one  magazine  -
not even magazines with special cheater's digest additions!  This
cheat  column (both parts gathered together) features  a  massive
288 cheats. As a matter of fact, only the 'how to do get infinite
stuff etc.' cheats have been included.  I'd like to proclaim: "If
the cheat isn't here it's just not known!"
 Credits mostly go to the Dutch and English computer press,  from
whom most of these cheats have been taken.  Some of our own  have
been added, of course, so that this bit of writing is not totally
ripped off.  Only very few of them have been tested,  I hasten to
add, so basically all of them could be fake (although, of course,
this is basically not the case).
 Do  note  that this article contains cheats  to  some  extremely
ancient  games.  Therefore,  I have tried to add the name of  the
company that did the game, if known.
 Oh...in  case  you  want  adventure  solutions,   refer  to  the
"Adventure Solution Index", elsewhere in this issue.

 Action Fighter - Firebird

 Enter  "ZBACKDOOR"  as your name in the hiscore.  You  will  get
infinite lives and energy.

 Addictaball

 Before pressing SPACE to start,  type "IJC".  The screen will go
black.  You can now press function keys that will take you to the
corresponding levels.

 Afterburner - Activision

 Pause the game.  Type "THUNDERBLADE". Unpause. Pressing "G" will
then give extra missiles, "<" will have you jump forward a stage,
">" goes backward, "N" gives extra lives.

 After the War - Dinamic

 During  the first stage,  press ALT+"B"+"1" for infinite  energy
and time or ALT+"M"+"1" for skipping to the second stage.

 AMC

 The   codes   for  this  game   are   "NOSTROMO",   "DISCOVERY",
"ENTERPRISE", "DAGOBAH", "REPLICANT", "KRULL" and "METROPOLIS".

 Andes Attack - Llamasoft

 Pause the game and enter "DELICATE-SOUND-OF-THUNDER",  including
the hypens!

 Another World

 The passwords for the levels are EDJI,  HICI,  FLLD, LIBC, CCAL,
EDIL, FADK, KCIJ, ICHA, FIEI, LALD and LFEK.

 APB - Domark

 Type "ALF" in the hiscore table - then the fun starts.

 Apprentice

 Press  TAB  after  first  title screen.  You  can  now  use  the
following level passwords:  "WIZARD", "SPELLS", "ARCANE", "DRUID"
and "FAERIE".

 Archipelagos - Logotron

 Select Archipelago number 8421 and then press ENTER  twice.  Now
you can select any Archipelago.

 Arkanoid - Imagine

 For  33 extra levels type F3 for one player,  F4 for two  player
instead of F1 and F2 respectively.
 If  you type "DEATHSTAR" on the title screen with the CAPS  LOCK
key pressed, "S" will proceed one level.

 Arkanoid II - Imagine

 Press CAPS LOCK and then type "DALEY88" for infinite lives.  You
can also try typing "PETEJOHNSONWANTSCHEAT" (without spaces!)  on
the title screen.  Pressing "S" will then cause the exits to open
any time you want.

 Armour Geddon - Psygnosis

 If  you want infinite credits,  enter your name as "ALF" on  the
hiscore table.

 Army Moves - Dinamic

 The code for part two is "101069".  Hold down ALT+"1"+"D" during
the  first  part for immunity - in the second part  you  have  to
press ALT+"1"+"J" for this.
 You  can  also type in "KARENBROADHURST" on the title  screen  -
though I suspect that this cheat is not for the "Army Moves" made
by Dinamic but another one!

 Atomic Robokid - Activision

 Type  "TUESDAY 14th" on the title page and you will get a  cheat
menu.

 Atomino - Psygnosis

 A  couple of passwords  are  "PLANKTON",  "INFERNAL",  "TAURUS",
"PHOTON", "SOUP" and "SULPHATE".

 Atomix - Thalion

 Press HELP to enter password mode and enter "TIME" for a  frozen
stop clock.

 Awesome - Psygnosis

 Enter the energy swap screen.  Move the pointer to where you get
your  shield.  Now hold down "+" on the numeric keypad and  press
fire.  The screen will flash. The functions keys will now do nice
things,  such as give the different weapons (F1-F10 during play),
disable enemies (F1) and restore energy (F6).

 Baal - Psygnosis

 Get into the hiscore table and enter "LOVEBUNDLE" as your  name.
Choose another name to start the game and press "P" and F10. Then
type "FUCK OFF PIRATE BASTARDS" to get to the second level.

 Back to the Future II - Mirrorsoft

 Pause the game and enter "THE ONLY NEAT THING TO DO".  The  game
will restart, but you will start again with infinite lives.

 Back to the Future III - Mirrorsoft

 For infy lives,  enter the following during the storyboard bits.
Level  1 "ROTTEN CHEAT",  level 2 "LOUSY CHEAT" and level 3  "LOW
DOWN CHEAT".

 Barbarian - Psygnosis

 Type  "04 08 59" (with spaces) on the title  screen.  This  will
give you infinite lives.
 Another version of this cheat is also reported.  Instead of  the
two spaces,  type the left hand minus signs. This should make you
invincible.

 Barbarian II - Psygnosis

 Press HELP en then "M" and "E" simultaneously.  You can do  this
anywhere, and you will find your energy refilled.

 Bart Simpson: The Revenge of the Space Mutants - Ocean

 This  game may or may be the same as the Simpson  thing  mention
with "Simpsons,  The", further on. So you'd better check there as
well.
 Anyway.
 Type "EAT MY SHORTS" on the title screen.

 Batman the Movie - Ocean

 For infinite lives, type "MAJJJJ" on the title screen.

 Battle Valley - Hewson

 Type  "ROGER  MELLIE  THE MAN ON THE  TELE"  (with  spaces)  for
infinite lives.

 Beach Volley - Ocean

 Type "DADDYBRACEY" while playing. F1 will advance you one level.

 Beast Busters - Activision

 Pause  the  game.  You  will find that you can  still  move  the
crosshair around and kill anyone you want!

 Bellum - ST Format Cover disk

 Keep  both  SHIFT key pressed while loading and  you  will  have
infinite lives.

 Better Dead Than Alien - Oxford Digital

 You  can press ESC to pause the game,  reposition your ship  and
press "N" to continue.
 Also, you can type in "ELV" to activate the cheat mode that will
implement uses for the following keys:  F1 triple fire,  F2  fast
fire,  F3 Automatic fast fire,  F4 Armour missile,  F5 stunn,  F6
neutron bomb,  F7 clone ship, F8 shield, F9 next level, F10 extra
energy.
 The passwords to the levels are "ELEKTRA", "SYZYGY", "DRAMBUIE",
"PLUG",  "SOPRANO",  "MAYONNAISE", "FAUCET", "POTATO", "WOOMERA",
"NARCISSUS",   "DEBUTANTE",   "FIRKIN",  "ACOUSTIC",  "TRIPTYCH",

 Beverly Hills Cop - Tynesoft

 Go  past  the  hi-score to  the  select  difficulty  page.  Type
"MELLIE" and you can go to any of the games.

 Bio Challenge - Palace

 Press ESC to pause.  Pressing "G" will then bring you to the end
guardian instantly (when you're suicidal).

 Blues Brothers

 Type  in  "HOULQ",  followed  by the  level  you  want,  on  the
character selection screen. So that would be "HOULQ1" for level 1
(though that would hardly be useful, would it?).

 Bombuzal

 The codes for all levels are: "ROSS",  "RATT",  "LISA",  "DAVE",
"IRON",  "LEAD",  "WEED", "RING", "GIRL", "GOLD", "OPAL", "SONG",
"FIRE", "LAMP" and "TREE".

 Brat - Mirrorsoft

 Here   are  the  level  passwords.   Toyland   has   "BISHIGMO",
""MIHEMOTO",  "SASUTOZO" and "SUMATZEE"; Parkland has "NOKITAGO",
"ITSANONO",  "MOZIMATO" and "HOZITOMO";  Moonbase has "MOKITEMO",
"ZUMOHATO",  "CHANASTU" and "NAGAITSU".  Skipping a level may  be
done by pressing "1", "/" and "8".

 BSS Jane Seymour - Gremlin

 The   passwords  to  the  levels  are   "SLUMBER",   "INTEREST",
"BULKHEAD", "SHOWROOM" and "MUSHBASH".

 Cabal - Ocean

 Enter "SCHLIKA" during the game.  F2 will henceforth finish  the
level  for you.  Accidentally,  you can also pause the  game  and
still move the crosshair around (see "Beast Busters").

 Captain Planet

 For  this one you'll need a copy of the game  "Captive".  Insert
this  "Captive"  disk  when  on the  level  selection  screen  of
"Captain  Planet".  Press fire.  A "Disk Error"  will  come.  Now
insert  the  "Captain  Planet"  disk  again  and  the  cheat   is
activated.  You  can also press Escape during play to go  to  the
level selection screen.

 Cardiaxx

 Pause the game. Enter "RACHAEL". Press LEFT SHIFT, then "H". You
can also try typing "CAROLILY".

 Carrier Command - Rainbird

 At  any moment during the game,  type "GROW OLD ALONG  WITH  ME"
(including  the  spaces).  The  "+"  and  "-"  keys  will  toggle
immunity.  If  you replace the string to enter with "THE BEST  IS
YET TO BE" you can use these two keys to view all objects.

 Car-Vup - Core Design

 Type  in  "BUMPER"  on the hiscore table if  you  want  infinite
bumpers,  "PUSSYCATS"  for infinite pussies (nine  lives,  thus).
Type in "WHOOPSIE" to begin at the prehistoric level.  Press  "Z"
for brakes.

 Castle Master

 Press SHIFT and "L" once you've started the game. Then press the
right mouse button about 25 times until you hear  something.  You
will get four coloured boxes on the screen.  You can shoot these.
One will give you endless lives,  one will give you all ten keys,
one  will give you the ending,  and the last will give  you  rock
travel.

 Chariots of Wrath - Impressions

 If  you  get the instruction to press fire to  start,  push  the
joystick forward instead. You will find you have infinite lives.
 Pressing the "." key during the game has the same effect.

 Chase HQ - Ocean

 Hold down the left mouse button and the joystick fire button and
type "GROWLER".  This can be done at any moment during the  game.
After that, "T" will reset your time limit to 60 seconds.

 Chip's Challenge - U.S. Gold

 Press  "F" once to flip the screen and then enter  "SAGITTARIANS
MAKE BETTER LOVERS.".  You will get infinite keys, water and fire
shields.  "09/12/57." will give infinite time. "I THINK THEREFORE
I  AM." will make sure that no chips have to  be  collected.  "C"
jumps a level.  You're supposed to enter the spaces and the  full
stops  within the quotes,  so it is said.  Some level  codes  are
"GCCG",  "EVUG",  "OLLM", "QJXR", "QBAO", "FLXT", "XHIT", "LUJT",
"SJUK" and "YBLI".

 Chubby Gristle - Grandslam

 On  the title screen,  enter "BUUURRP".  You will have  infinite
lives.

 Chuck Rock - Core Design

 On  the  screen with the band on,  type one  of  the  following:
"UNCLE  SAMS"  (infinite energy),  "MORTIMER" (F1  to  F4  select
zones),  "TURN FRAME" (change level with "1" to "4") or "ESTRANO"
(LEFT SHIFT will make Mr. Rock fly).

 CJ's Elephant Antics

 "ITCHY  ARSEHOLES" needs to be typed on the title screen if  you
want infinite lives.

 Crackdown

 Pause  the  game and enter "SMURF".  F1 will give  you  infinite
lives; F2 does this for player 2.

 Cybernoid - Hewson

 Enter  "RAISTLIN" on the title screen and you will get  infinite
lives.

 Cybernoid II - Hewson

 On  the title screen,  enter "NECRONOMICON"  or  "NECRONOMIOCON"
followed by SPACE. You will now have infinite lives.

 Darkman - Ocean

 Type MEA CULTA anywhere during the game.  Function keys will  do
interesting things.

 Darkside - Incentive

 Hold down "2" and "8",  press fire.  You will get a digi pic  of
the programmers (yowzers!).

 Days of Thunder

 Pause   the  game  during  the  qualifying  round.   Then   type
"COMEFLYWITHME".  Now you can (er...) fly.  Press functions  keys
"F1" to "F8" for some interesting viewing bits.

 Defender II - ARC

 Typing "GOATY" will make yourself invincible.  Some level  codes
are "LEMAC",  "ZIPPO",  "LASER",  "DAFAD",  "MAMOG",  "FUNKY" and
"DONKY".  If you type "RAVEN" while playing you will activate the
following  keyz:  "N" to go to the next level and "I"  to  toggle
invincibility.

 Defender of the Crown - Mirrorsoft

 Hold down "K" while booting the second disk.  This will give you
lots of extra knights.

 Denaris - U.S. Gold

 Press  "Z" while loading the second disk,  i.e.  the data  disk.
Then  put the mouse in the joystick port and hold down the  right
mouse button while it loads.

 Deuteros - Activision

 First,  go to the surface or orbital stores room.  Second,  hold
down SHIFT and "C". The screen will go green. Hold down SHIFT and
press  "C"  again.  Now you will have an infite  supply  of  each
researched product.  Orbital space stations can now also be built
when only having one frame section.

 Dogs of War - Elite

 Type  "TIMBO"  before you start the game.  Press  F5  will  give
infinite lives.

 Dominator - System 3

 Enter  your  name in the hiscore table as "SHAFT"  for  infinite
lives.

 Double Dragon - Melbourne House

 Enter  your name in the hiscore table as "NEIL HARDING" and  you
will get infinite credits.
 You  can also try typing one of the following sentences  on  the
title page:
 LEVEL ONE PLEASE             = Start on level 1
 LEVEL TWO PLEASE             = Start on level 2
 LEVEL THREE PLEASE           = Start on level 3
 LEVEL FOUR PLEASE            = Start on level 4
 THE LAST LEVEL PLEASE        = Start on last level
 GIVE ME MORE HEALTH PLEASE   = Extra energy

 Dragon Breed - Activision

 Hold down the left mouse button,  DELETE and HELP together  when
the next level is loading. When she screen flashes you can skip a
level by pressing a key on your keyboard.  You may also pause and
type "IREM" for infinite lives.

 Dragon Ninja - Imagine

 Type  "TERRIFIC" during game play.  F3 will give infinite  lives
and "L" will take you to the next level.

 Dragonscape

 Press  the TAB key during the game,  followed by "2" to  get  to
level two. Repeat this for level 3.

 Dragon's Lair II

 When on the credit screen, enter "GET MORDROC DIRK".

 Dragon Spirit

 Pause the game (F9) and then type "DRAGON HEAD".  Now press  F10
and you will be able to change level by pressing the number keys.

 Driller - Incentive

 At the start, shoot the shed-like thingy you're facing more than
20 times.  You will change into a jet and you will be able to fly
around the game's 3D world.

 Drivin' Force

 Click on the two dots on the i's and you will not be able to run
off the road.

 Dynamite Dux

 Type "CHEAT" on the title screen.  You can now use F1-F6 to jump
to the levels.
 You can type "NUDE" to go to a subgame immediately.

 Dynasty Wars

 Enter  "CHEAT MODE" on the title screen.  Pressing F2 will  then
get you one level further.

 Dyter_07 - Reline

 Enter while loading (on the loading screen) "GIBB".  After  this
you can type during play:  "W" for more weapons,  "S" for a fresh
shield.

 Elf

 If you type "CHOROPOO" at any time during the game you'll get 99
pets.

 Eliminator - Hewson

 The passwords for the higher levels are: Stage 2 "AMOEBA", stage
3 "BLOOOP", stage 4 "CHEEKI", stage 5 "DOINOK", stage 6 "ENIGMA",
stage 7 "FLIPME",  stage 8 "GEEGEE",  stage 9 "HANDEL",  stage 10
"ICICLE", stage 11 "HAMMIN", stage 12 "KIKONG", stage 13 "LAPDOG"
(will also give you infinite lives) and stage 14 "MIKADO".

 E-Motion - U.S. Gold

 Type "MOONUNIT" on the title screen. F1 will progress one level,
F2 ten levels, F3 one level back, F4 ten levels back.

 Empire Strikes Back - Domark

 Hold  down  the  HELP  key  on  the  title  screen,   and   type
"XIFARGROTCEV".  Some keys will do interesting things during  the
game, such as: "L", "C" and "D" (see what they do for yourself).

 Enchanted Land - Thalion

 Type "TCB RULES FOREVER" during the main menu. When starting the
game you will get a level request. Function keys also do things.

 Enduro Racer

 Type  in  "CHEAT" after starting.  "T" will give  you  10  extra
seconds,  "S" will transport you one level further, "F" will give
you turbo speed.

 E-Swat - U.S. Gold

 Pause  game and type in "JUSTIFIED ANCIENTS OF MU MU" (try  with
and  without  the  spaces).  You'll get 99 lives if  you  did  it
correctly.

 Eye of Horus - Logotron

 Type  "SPAM"  on the credits section in case you  wouldn't  mind
infinite lives and no further need for keys.

 Exolon - Hewson

 In  the  hiscore table,  enter your name as "AD ASTRA"  (but  in
small letters!). You will get infinite lives.

 F-15 Strike Eagle II - Microprose

 Load  game and select pilot as usual.  Then select  DEMO  during
skill level selection. Pick a location and continue as usual. Use
joystick and that's it. Enemy weapons will not harm you, "R" will
take you to re-arming and re-fueling. You can now gain medals and
points even when in training mode.

 F-19 Stealth Fighter

 Press  ALT+"H" to get pitch lines on your Head-Up  Display.  Fly
upside down,  turn off engines,  keep your plane at 10 degrees on
the HUD.

 F-29 Retaliator - Ocean

 Enter  "THE  DIDY MEN" on the roster instead of your  own  name.
After  having  finished a mission,  pressing the ENTER  key  will
instantly  land  your plane.  On  the  enrolment  screen,  typing
"CIARAN" will give you infinite weapons.

 Falcon - Mirrorsoft

 Hold down "X" while in flight.  This doesn't do anything. If you
hold down "CONTROL" and "SHIFT" too,  you will get a full set  of
arms again.

 Fantasy World Dizzy

 Your   hiscore  name  should  be  entered  as   "IMMORTAL"   for
invincibility.

 Fast Lane - Action 16

 Pause the game during qualification with F1 and unpause with the
space  bar.  The  qualifying time will be frozen -  so  you  will
always get to pole position.

 Fernandez Must Die - Mirrorsoft

 Pause  during  the game and type  "SPINYNORMAN".  You  will  get
infinite assassination attempts now.

 Fighter Bomber - Activision

 Type in your pilot's name as "BUCKAROO".  You can now hit "D" at
any time to proceed to your next target.

 Final Blow - Sales Curve

 Pause the game, press F10 six times, then unpause.

 Flood - Electronic Arts

 The passwords (to be selected by typing them and pressing RETURN
afterwards) are the following:  1 "FROG,  2 "YEAR",  3 "QUIF",  4
"LONG",  4 "LONG",  5 "WORD",  6 "FRED",  7 "WINE",  8 "GRIP",  9
"TRAP", 10 "THUD", 11 "FRAK", 12 "VINE", 13 "JUMP", 14 "NILL", 15

 You  can enter one of the following things in the hiscore  table
(providing you actually get one):  "RLH" for acid men,  "JGL"  or
"J-H" for full fire power and "KDJ" or "HSC" for infinite  lives.
You can also do "RAB" for immunity.  By the way: You need to hold
down "5" on the numeric keypad during the entering of the last of
the letters.

 Forgotten Worlds - U.S. Gold

 Type "ARC" on the title screen,  followed by the HELP  key.  You
can  now play,  where "S" will take you to the shop and "N"  will
n...n...er...teleport you to the next level.

 Fusion - Electronic Arts

 Enter  "SWAMP THING" on the hiscore table.  Now,  the  following
keys  will  do certain things:  "T" for extra  weapons,  "B"  for
strong bullets,  "S" for shields and "E" for cheat mode.  There's
even a level editor built in the cheat mode...

 Game Over 2 - Dinamic

 The password for level 2 is 11423.

 Gauntlet II - U.S. Gold

 While playing,  find a treasure chest and make sure you have one
key.  Hold down INSERT when opening the chest. Release INSERT and
push  joystick DOWN.  The HELP key will now give you 5000  health
points.

 Gemini Wings - Sales Curve

 Level  codes:  3  "classics",  4  "whizzkid",  5  "gunshots",  6
"doodguyz" and 7 "d.gibson".

 Gem-X

 Level  codes:   "FMTOWNS",   "TURRICAN",   "X68000",   "BADMAN",
"CAMPAIGN",  "NETWORK",  "REDMOON", "EXACT", "INOKUMA", "CHIERIE"
and "ZAWAS".

 Ghostbusters II - Activision

 Wait until the word "Activision" appears on the screen.  When is
has, then press CONTROL+ALTERNATE+"S"+"U" for some effects.

 Ghosts'n'Goblins

 Type on the credits screen (appears after loading) "DELBOY". You
will now be invincible.

 Ghouls'n'Ghosts

 Quickly type "STEPHEN BROADHURST" after loading. The screen will
flash and you will be invincible.

 Globulus

 Enter "Zvmo!EG" for endless lives.

 Gods - Renegade

 On some versions,  you can enter "SORCERY" as the  password.  Do
note  that this only works with a few special versions  that  you
may have got!

 Goldrunner - Microdeal

 Steve  Bak never was a man for intricate cheats.  You can  press
"i" during the game to get you to a bonus stage; "O" will warp to
the next level.

 Gravity Force

 Type "WARP01" for the level 1 password, "WARP02" for level 2, et
cetera.

 Hades Nebula

 Enter  "MONITOR." (including the full stop) as your name in  the
hiscore list to enter a system monitor.

 Hammerfist

 In the hiscore table enter "TAEHC OT TNAW I".  In the  game,  F7
will proceed one screen.

 Hawkeye - Thalamus

 When almost dead,  with no lives, press DELETE to go to the next
level.  If you pause,  push HELP and unpause during the game  you
will get infinite lives.

 Hard Drivin' - Domark

 When in manual mode for gears, accelerate to full speed. When at
top  speed,  go  to  neutral gear.  You will  be  invincible  for
collisions.

 Helter Skelter- Anco

 The passwords to higher levels are:  11 "SPIN",  41  "GOAL",  61
"TWIN", 21 "FLIP", 51 "LEFT", 71 "PLAY" and 31 "BALL".

 Horror Zombies - Millenium

 Hold down "M" and "." and ",". You will get infy lives.
 There  are  also  some passwords.  "BOGEYEATER"  will  give  you
infinite lives,  too,  for example,  but the level passwords  are
"WOLFMAN" (level 2),  "HAMMER" (3), "LUGOSI" (4), "NOSFERATU" (5)
and "GARLIC" (level 6).

 Hudson Hawk - Ocean

 Pause the game and enter "SANITYCLAWSISCOMINGTOTOWN".

 Hybris - Gainstar

 Type "COMMANDER" as hiscore entry.  F10 will toggle immunity, F9
will get you to the next level,  F2-F8 will give you all the add-
ons.

 Hydra

 When  typing "KILLKILLKILLKILL" during the game the screen  will
flash. Pressing "F" will now give you fuel, "Q" will display some
stuff and RETURN" will cycle through your weapons.

 Ikari Warriors - Elite

 Enter "FREERIDE" as your hiscore name. You'll be invincible.

 Immortal - Electronic Arts

 Interesting names to enter on the hiscore table (with the things
they  do):  "LUMBAJAK"  (doubles the length of the  energy  bar),
"HEINZ" (three complete energy bars),  "ANNFRANKS" (adds energy),
"OUCH OUCH" (allows you to walk on lethal  surfaces),  "COMMANDO"
(no  time  limit  for weapons),  "JUGGLERS"  (worms  give  double
health).

 Inbanana Jones - U.S. Gold

 Enter  "SILLYNAM" as your hiscore name.  You will  have  endless
continues.  When  typing  "IEHOVA" on the title  screen  you  can
activate  the major cheat - the border will turn grey.  "2"  will
proceed  you one flash-point further,  "L" will bring you to  the
next scene and "I" will supply you with an icon.

 International Ice Hockey

 Score.  Pause the game until the music stops.  You'll get  extra
points.

 International Karate

 Keep F3 and F4 pressed simultaneously for THREE player mode.  If
you press "X" and "1" dring the game it will get slightly faster,
with "X" and "4" it will get slower.

 International Karate + - System 3

 When you're lying on the ground, pause the game. Start again and
you'll be invincible.
 You can also type in words while playing,  that do funny things.
These are:
 FREZ =  Freezes the game
 PAC  =  A little Pacman appears
 FISH =  A fish jumps out of the water
 BIRD =  A bird flies across the screen
 PERI =  A submarine periscope appears

 Type "Fenny" somewhere during the game, where the "F" is entered
with  CAPS LOCK.  The left mouse button will get you through  all
the objects,  the right one will enlarge it.  Both buttons,  when
pressed simultaneously, will bring you back to the game.

 Ivanhoe - Ocean

 Pause the game and enter "JC IS THE BEST",  followed by  RETURN.
"N"  will now bring you to the next level;  DELETE will kill  all
enemies on the screen; ";" will get you more lives.

 Jambala, The Seven Gates of - Thalion

 On the title screen you have to enter "YICKE YACKE H[HNERKACKE",
hold  down the left shift button,  hold down  "1",  release  "1",
release  left shift.  The title will turn blue now.  In case  you
have a non English machine the above string to be entered may  be
different - for the German keyboard,  for example, it will be the
intended "ZICKE ZACKE HÜHNERKACKE".  In the game,  keys 1-7  take
you to the corresponding levels,  F1-F5 select weapons, "G" gives
you gold. Other functions keys also do bits.

 James Pond - Millenium

 Type  "MR2" and press return.  You can now toggle cheat mode  by
pressing RETURN; all inter-level locks will disappear by pressing
"D".

 Judge Dredd - Virgin

 Boot  the game and start as Dredd.  Then enter "BRUCKEN  PLAYING
HERO  QUEST" and press RETURN.  Exit from the computer  and  HELP
will help you to get to the end of each level.

 Jumping Jackson

 Some   passwords   are   "KAYLEIGH",   "ALCHEMY",   "OCTOBERON",
"TANGRAM", "INCUBUS" and "SIRIUS".

 Karate Kid II - Anco

 "P" skips a level. Sounds like a Steve Bak game to me.

 Kick Off 2 - Anco

 Press all function keys in order F1,  F2, F3, F4....etc. Do this
twice during play.  The words "S12" or "S14" should appear in the
top right-hand corner.  The computer goal keeper is now inactive.
When taking a penalty, press "R" to see where to ball goes.

 Kid Gloves

 Pause  the  game  and  enter  "RHIANNON".  Press  F9  to  become
invulnerable. The other functions keys also do nice things.

 Killing Game Show - Psygnosis

 The HELP key can be pressed during the "Good Luck" screen.  This
will show a map of the level. When pressed during the "Press Fire
to Continue" screen, you will get all your lives back!

 Klax

 Press SPACE and "4" simultaneously to get to the last level.

 Larry (Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards) -
 Sierra-on-Line

 Press ALTERNATE and "X" at the title pic, followed by RETURN. No
answers to be concocted to difficult questions then!

 Last Duel - U.S. Gold

 Start the ganme,  pause (F9) and hold down HELP,  LEFT SHIFT and
"1".  Then unpause.  The functions keys will now move you through
the levels, and F8 will give you five lives.

 Leander - Psygnosis

 Passwords: Level 2 "ZXFT", level 3 "LVFT".
 You  can  also enter the password as  "LTUS",  after  which  you
should have infinite lives.  Then pause with F8, skip levels with
F6 and fire simultaneously (?!).

now be invincible.

 On  the  title screen you can type "FQUIGGLY"  to  activate  the

 Midwinter

 When skiing,  go to "S" (sniper mode) and zoom in maximally. You
will be invincible for rockets now.

 Monty Python - Virgin

 Enter "SEMPRINI" on the hiscore table.  You will get some  handy
things,  like  a  restart at the last place you  died.  Also  try
entering "POOKY".

 Munsters

 When the green coffin appears, type "STRATS" followed by RETURN.
The screen will flash and you will be invincible.

 Narc - Dinamic

 Walk right,  kneel,  shoot the bin until it's blue. Now you will
have infinite lives.  Enter "MUNICION" for ammo,  "BLAST" to  set
off a smart bomb.

 Navy Moves - Dinamic

 The code to the second bit is 786169.

 Navy Seals

 In the hiscore table,  enter "WOZZIE" or "PSBOYS".  You can now,
during the game, press "H" to pause and ESCAPE to skip a level.

(Ninja  parts explode when they're hit),  "SKIPPY" (enemies  will
bump),  "GENESIS OF THE DALEKS" (inverts screen colours), "EAT TO
THE BEAT" ("Q" toggles slow-motion on/off),  "A SMALL STEP FOR  A

 Enter your name as "MAJ". You will get 5,000 fuel and 50 credits
(this may not sound like much but it is quite sufficient).

to go to the next level.

 Olympic Challenge - Ocean

 Type  "HINGSEN.J".  The function keys can now be used to  select
the events.

 Oops up - The Software Business

 Some level codes are:  DK51, QO58, DO4G, WAQD, DK49, XPE4, FE50,
10F4, DK39, 467H, VE96, S04L, PW04, MC90, TRP2, FUKO, JU68, R2T7,
EB01,  ER7E, A234, C5J0 AND 4799. If some of them don't work then
try exchanging the "0" for the "O" or vice versa.

 Operation Thunderbolt - Ocean

 Get  a score of 50,000 to get on the hiscore table.  Enter  your
name there as "WIGAN NINJA" for infinite lives (and F2 will  take
you  to  the  next level) or "SPECCY  MODE"  to...find  this  out
yourself.
 Some  nifty  key  press  sequences  can  also  supply  you  with
permanent  laser sight throughout the onslaught.  For one  player
mode: F8, F7, F6, F5, F4, F3, F8, F1, F1, F1. For two player mode
this should be: F7, F6, F5, F4, F3, F8, F2, F2, F2.

 Outrun - U.S. Gold

 Enter "STARION" during the game.  "S" will bring you to the next
level,  "T" will give time, "B" will give extended play; "X" will
save the screen in "Degas" format (!).

 P-47

 Entering your name in the hiscore table as "ZEBEDEE";  this will
activate a further cheats:  F2 gives you more lives. F1 also does
something.

 Pacland - Grandslam

 Type "AVALON" on the title screen for infinite lives.

 Enter "WHAT A NICE CHEAT" on the map screen.

 Here are the passwords: "GRIP" (start on level 5),  "TICK"  (9),

 Pit Fighter

 Type in "LOBSTERS" while playing, followed by "1" to "0" for the
levels.  Press  "C"  to go to championship  level,  "L"  for  the
elimination match.

 Platoon - Ocean

 Type in "HAMBURGER HILL" on the title screen.  During the  game,
F2 will take you to the explosive,  F3 to the bridge,  F4 to  the
village and F5 will get you immunity.
