 Welcome  to the third occurrence of this cheat encyclopaedia  in
the glorious history of ST NEWS (ahem)!  This article  previously
appeared  in ST NEWS Volume 7 Issue 2 and Volume 9 Issue 2 -  but
not  with  as many cheats as you will  find  now.  An  in-between
version,  the second-and-a-half one if you will,  was released in
"DBA Magazine" issue 12.
 This  article  contains all cheats that can be compiled  at  the
moment,  and  I've  added a number of Lynx cheats at the  end  as
well.  I have reason to be certain of the fact that never  before
so many cheats have been put together in one magazine - not  even
magazines with special cheater's digest additions!  The  totality
of  this  cheat list features a massive 400 ST cheats  (and  that
doesn't  even add the many multiple entries containing  different
cheats  for one game).  To all you hand-job nutters out  there  I
have  also included 24 Lynx cheats,  and for the lucky few  among
you  who have succeeded in laying their  sweaty,  greedy,  grubby
hands on the Jaguar, there's some stuff for you too (no more than
19 titles, though).
 By  the way,  only the "how to get infinite  stuff/direct  level
access/hidden  levels  etc." cheats have been included  -  so  no
hints on tactics,  strategies, walkthroughs, easy ways out, where
to get keys in adventures,  and that sort of stuff.  You'll  just
need to figure that out yourself - I don't want to spoil too much
of the fun.

 Credits  mostly  go to the computer press,  from which  many  of
these cheats have been taken.  Additional credits go to some nice
folk  around  the globe,  mostly Mr.  Lee  "501"  Dumbleton,  The
Mercenary, Thomas Sandberg, Peter Hvezda (tons of Lynx stuff) and
Chris  Banham (much Lynx stuff too).  Special thanks to a  German
guy  who  did  the  Jag stuff in  "Jaguar  64  Bit  Magazine"  or
something of that ilk.  Some cheats of my own have been added, of
course,  so  that this bit of writing is not totally ripped  off.
Only  very  few of them have been tested,  I hasten  to  add,  so
basically all of them could be fake (although,  of  course,  this
should basically not be the case).
 Do  note  that this article contains cheats  to  some  extremely
ancient  games.  Therefore,  I  have  tried to add  some  of  the
companies that did the games, if known.

- A -------------------------------------------------------------

 Action Fighter - Firebird

 Enter  "ZBACKDOOR"  as your name in the hiscore.  You  will  get
infinite lives and energy.  During play, you can also press "Q" a
couple of times to get more weapons.

 Addams Family - Ocean

 Dependent  on the order of the game,  the passwords  are  K11K9,
R1SK7, RZ1R?, RDHIY and RLYK7.

 Addictaball

 Before pressing SPACE to start,  type "IJC".  The screen will go
black.  You can now press function keys that will take you to the
corresponding levels.

 Afterburner - Activision

 Pause the game.  Type "THUNDERBLADE". Unpause. Pressing "G" will
then give extra missiles, "<" will have you jump forward a stage,
">"  goes  backward,  "N" gives extra lives.  You  can  also  try
pressing CONTROL a couple of times to jump to the next stage.
 Alternatively  you  can enter "AGES" (which  is  "SEGA"  written
backwards)  which  will  cause only the ">" and "<"  keys  to  be
activated.

 After the War - Dinamic

 During  the first stage,  press ALT+"B"+"1" for infinite  energy
and  time or ALT+"M"+"1" for skipping to the  second  stage.  The
code to the second level is either 101069 or 101039.

 Agony - Psygnosis

 Enter  "FANTASY" while in the game and you'll be able to  select
your  weapons with F1-F5.  Return zooms you on a level  (whatever
that may mean).

 AMC (Astra Marine Cops)

 The   codes   for  this  game   are   "NOSTROMO",   "DISCOVERY",
"ENTERPRISE", "DAGOBAH", "REPLICANT", "KRULL" and "METROPOLIS".

 Andes Attack - Llamasoft

 Pause the game and enter "DELICATE-SOUND-OF-THUNDER",  including
the hypens!

 Annihilator

 Press  SPACE to pause the game,  then hold down SHIFT and  press
the function key of the level you want to jump to.

 Another World

 The passwords for the levels are EDJI,  HICI,  FLLD, LIBC, CCAL,
EDIL,  FADK,  KCIJ, ICHA, FIEI, LALD and LFEK (the last one might
be KJIA instead).  Passwords with no known levels are FLAK, FIEI,
KCGB, LAEA and GABK.

 APB - Domark

 Type "ALF" in the hiscore table - then the fun starts.

 Apprentice

 Press  TAB  after  first  title screen.  You  can  now  use  the
following level passwords:  "WIZARD", "SPELLS", "ARCANE", "DRUID"
and "FAERIE".

 Archipelagos - Logotron

 Select Archipelago number 8421 and then press ENTER  twice.  Now
you can select any Archipelago.

 Arkanoid - Imagine

 For  33 extra levels type F3 for one player,  F4 for two  player
instead of F1 and F2 respectively.
 If  you type "DEATHSTAR" on the title screen with the CAPS  LOCK
key pressed, "S" will proceed one level.

 Arkanoid II - Imagine

 Press CAPS LOCK and then type "DALEY88" for infinite lives.  You
can also try typing "PETEJOHNSONWANTSCHEAT" (without spaces!)  on
the title screen.  Pressing "S" will then cause the exits to open
any time you want.

 Armalyte

 Pause the game and enter "DELTA3". You'll be invincible.

 Armour Geddon - Psygnosis

 If  you want infinite credits,  enter your name as "ALF" on  the
hiscore table.

 Army Moves - Dinamic

 The code for part two is "101069".  Hold down ALT+"1"+"D" during
the  first  part for immunity - in the second part  you  have  to
press ALT+"1"+"J" for this.
 You  can  also type in "KARENBROADHURST" on the title  screen  -
though I suspect that this cheat is not for the "Army Moves" made
by Dinamic but another one!

 Astro Marine Corps

 The  level codes  are:  "NOSTROMO",  "DISCOVERY",  "ENTERPRISE",
"DAGOBAH", "REPLICANT", "KRULL" and "METROPOLIS".

 Atomic Robokid - Activision

 Type  "TUESDAY 14TH" on the title page and you will get a  cheat
menu.

 Atomino - Psygnosis

 A  couple of passwords  are  "PLANKTON",  "INFERNAL",  "TAURUS",
"PHOTON",  "SOUP"  and "SULPHATE".  Another set I found  mentions
"ACID",  "ARROW",  "EMISSION",  "LAVA",  CAVE",  ELIXIR", "BONE",
"WOOD", "FOUNTAIN" and "GETWISE".

 Atomix - Thalion

 Press HELP to enter password mode and enter "TIME" for a  frozen
stop clock.

 Awesome - Psygnosis

 Enter the energy swap screen.  Move the pointer to where you get
your  shield.  Now hold down "+" on the numeric keypad and  press
fire.  The screen will flash. The functions keys will now do nice
things,  such as give the different weapons (F1-F10 during play),
disable enemies (F1) and restore energy (F6).

- B -------------------------------------------------------------

 Baal - Psygnosis

 Get into the hiscore table and enter "LOVEBUNDLE" as your  name.
Choose another name to start the game and press "P" and F10. Then
type "FUCK OFF PIRATE BASTARDS" to get to the second level.

 Baby Joe

 Stage  codes  are  "MUMMY" (level  2),  "GLOUP"  (level  3)  and
"YOUPI" (level 4).

 Back to the Future II - Mirrorsoft

 Pause the game and enter "THE ONLY NEAT THING TO DO".  The  game
will restart, but you will start again with infinite lives.

 Back to the Future III - Mirrorsoft

 For infy lives,  enter the following during the storyboard bits.
Level  1 "ROTTEN CHEAT",  level 2 "LOUSY CHEAT" and level 3  "LOW
DOWN CHEAT".

 Balls

 Several level codes are "D MODE",  "MELLOW", "K BUSH", "DELIUS",
"T WEBB", "JOSHUA" and "COOPER".

 Barbarian - Psygnosis

 Press 0,  followed by 4, and then the left-hand minus sign. Then
press  0 and 8 and the minus sign again.  Now press 5 and  9  and
voila! You'll be invincible!

 Barbarian II - Psygnosis

 Press HELP en then "M" and "E" simultaneously.  You can do  this
anywhere, and you will find your energy refilled.

 Bart Simpson: The Revenge of the Space Mutants - Ocean

 This  game may or may be the same as the Simpson  thing  mention
with "Simpsons,  The", further on. So you'd better check there as
well.
 Anyway.
 Type "EAT MY SHORTS" on the title screen.

 Batman the Movie - Ocean

 For infinite lives,  type "MAJJJJ" on the title screen.  You can
also press F10 to skip a level.

 Battle Valley - Hewson

 Type  "ROGER  MELLIE  THE MAN ON THE  TELE"  (with  spaces)  for
infinite lives. The last word may be "TELLY" instead.

 Beach Volley - Ocean

 Type "DADDYBRACEY" while playing. F1 will advance you one level.
Reportedly you may have to enter "DADYBRACEY" instead.

 Beast Busters - Activision

 Pause  the  game.  You  will find that you can  still  move  the
crosshair  around  and kill anyone you want until the  screen  is
empty!

 Bellum - ST Format Cover disk

 Keep  both  SHIFT key pressed while loading and  you  will  have
infinite lives.

 Better Dead Than Alien - Oxford Digital

 You  can press ESC to pause the game,  reposition your ship  and
press "N" to continue.
 Also, you can type in "ELV" to activate the cheat mode that will
implement uses for the following keys:  F1 triple fire,  F2  fast
fire,  F3 Automatic fast fire,  F4 Armour missile,  F5 stunn,  F6
neutron bomb,  F7 clone ship, F8 shield, F9 next level, F10 extra
energy.
 The passwords to the levels are "ELEKTRA", "SYZYGY", "DRAMBUIE",
"PLUG",  "SOPRANO",  "MAYONNAISE", "FAUCET", "POTATO", "WOOMERA",
"NARCISSUS",   "DEBUTANTE",   "FIRKIN",  "ACOUSTIC",  "TRIPTYCH",
"JABBERWOCKY",   "WHIMSICAL",  "CORNUCOPIA",  "PUNJABI",  "TIDDLY
POM", "KEWPIE DOLL", "SEPULCHRE", "EUPHEMISM" and "GRAMM".

 Beverly Hills Cop - Tynesoft

 Go  past  the  hi-score to  the  select  difficulty  page.  Type
"MELLIE" and you can go to any of the games.

 Big Run - Storm

 Pause  the  game and move the  joystick  thusly:  Left,  centre,
right,  centre,  down,  centre,  up,  centre,  up,  centre, left,
centre, down, centre and right, centre. You will have infy credy.

 Bio Challenge - Palace

 Press ESC to pause.  Pressing "G" will then bring you to the end
guardian instantly (when you're suicidal).

 Bionic Commandos

 Finished  a  level exactly when the timer gets to  zero  to  get
1,000,000 worth of score and extra lives.

 Black Tiger

 When  requested  to insert disk two,  instead shove in  a  blank
disk. You will now complete levels with no baddies.

 Blood Money - Psygnosis

 Activate  infinite lives by pressing the HELP key.  By  pressing
"1"  on  the numeric keypad you'll get loads of  dosh;  "4"  will
teleport  you directly to the shop.  Also,  you won't  lose  your
weapons if you lose a life.
 Another  cheat is the following:  Press F4 on the option  screen
for  "impatient mode",  immediately followed by "S".  The  screen
will stay black.  Now type in "PONDULIX FOR PM".  This  activates
the  cheat  mode  which can then be toggled within  the  game  by
pressing the HELP key.  The following keys do things as well: "1"
will  give extra money to player 1,  "2" for player 2,  "4"  lets
player 1 enter the shop,  "5" does this with player 2. "Esc" will
skip to the next level.

 Blues Brothers

 Type  in  "HOULQ",  followed  by the  level  you  want,  on  the
character selection screen. So that would be "HOULQ1" for level 1
(though that would hardly be useful, would it?).

 Bomber - Activision

 When  you enter your name as "BUCKAROO" you will have access  to
all 16 missions.

 Bombuzal

 The codes for all levels are: "ROSS",  "RATT",  "LISA",  "SINK",
"DAVE",  "BIKE",  "IRON", "BIRD", "LEAD", "WEED", "LAMP", "TREE",
VASE",  "RING",  "PILL",  "GIRL", "SPOT", "GOLD", "PALM", "OPAL",
"LOCK", "SONG", "SAFE", "FIRE" and "WORM".

 Brat - Mirrorsoft

 Here   are  the  level  passwords.   Toyland   has   "BISHIGMO",
""MIHEMOTO",  "SASUTOZO" and "SUMATZEE"; Parkland has "NOKITAGO",
"ITSANONO",  "MOZIMATO" and "HOZITOMO";  Moonbase has "MOKITEMO",
"ZUMOHATO",  "CHANASTU" and "NAGAITSU".  Skipping a level may  be
done by pressing "1", "/" and "8".

 BSS Jane Seymour - Gremlin

 The   passwords  to  the  levels  are   "SLUMBER",   "INTEREST",
"BULKHEAD",   "SHOWROOM",   "MUSHBASH",  "HAMPERED",  "BLACKOUT",
"WARRIOR", "VICTORY", "TRAPPED", "FRENZY", "HANDYMAN", "CROWDED",
"RADIATE",   "VOLTAGE",   "GLOOM",   "PRIMATE",   "MADHOUSE"  and
"TRIUMPH".

 Bubble Bobble - Firebird

 The following keys can skip levels during the game;  F2 skips  1
level,  F3 skips 6 levels, F4 skips 11 levels. This cheat may not
work with all versions!

 Builderland

 Level passwords are 1 - "BUILD1";  2 - "TOTTHA", 3 - "BEARBY", 4
- "OCTOPY", 5 - "DIABLO", 6 - "GOTIUS".

- C -------------------------------------------------------------

 Cabal - Ocean

 Enter "SCHLIKA" during the game.  F2 will henceforth finish  the
level  for you.  Accidentally,  you can also pause the  game  and
still move the crosshair around (see "Beast Busters").

 Captain Dynamo

 When you enter "PURPLE RAIN" on the hiscore table you will get a
lot of lives, and the "+" key will allow you to change levels.

 Captain Planet

 For  this one you'll need a copy of the game  "Captive".  Insert
this  "Captive"  disk  when  on the  level  selection  screen  of
"Captain  Planet".  Press fire.  A "Disk Error"  will  come.  Now
insert  the  "Captain  Planet"  disk  again  and  the  cheat   is
activated.  You  can also press Escape during play to go  to  the
level selection screen.
 Another cheat for this game:  Enter "CAAA" on the hiscore  table
and you'll have infinite continues.

 Captive

 Cardiaxx

 Pause the game. Enter "RACHAEL". Press LEFT SHIFT, then "H". You
can also try typing "CAROLILY".

 Carrier Command - Rainbird

 At  any moment during the game,  type "GROW OLD ALONG  WITH  ME"
(including  the  spaces).  The  "+"  and  "-"  keys  will  toggle
immunity.  If  you replace the string to enter with "THE BEST  IS
YET TO BE" you can use these two keys to view all objects.

 Car-Vup - Core Design

 Type  in  "BUMPER"  on the hiscore table if  you  want  infinite
bumpers,  "PUSSYCATS"  for infinite pussies (nine  lives,  thus).
Type in "WHOOPSIE" to begin at the prehistoric level.  Press  "Z"
for  brakes.  Other hiscore table entries:  "ARNIE"  for  100,000
points and "WOOARRGGH" to enable you to turn the car around FAST.

 Castle Master

 Press SHIFT and "L" once you've started the game. Then press the
right mouse button about 25 times until you hear  something.  You
will get four coloured boxes on the screen.  You can shoot these.
One will give you endless lives,  one will give you all ten keys,
one  will give you the ending,  and the last will give  you  rock
travel.

 Chaos Engine - Bitmap Brothers/Renegade

 If  you  really want to see the end of this game you  could  try
entering  "SjPF5K66NKKQ"  as password.  It will set  you  at  the
beginning of the second world,  but with massive amounts of  dosh
to  buy all the weapons,  lives and extras you need.  Other  good
ones are JSP99G416LY2 (30 lives and 41.993 credits), JSP99G416LY2
(30 lives and a lot of credits) and RCW9YT9Y#S#T.

 Chaos Strikes Back - FTL

 Stand  in  front of the dragon and cast the spell  "MON  ZO  GOR
SAR".  Pause the game (Escape key),  hold down ALTERNATE and type
in "LORD LIBRASULUS SMITES THEE DOWN". Unpause. Kill dragon. Pick
up the fire staff it will drop and...you will be invincible.

 Chariots of Wrath - Impressions

 If  you  get the instruction to press fire to  start,  push  the
joystick forward instead. You will find you have infinite lives.
 Pressing  the "." key during the game has the same  effect  (but
may be difficult to get activated).

 Chase HQ - Ocean

 Hold down the left mouse button and the joystick fire button and
type "GROWLER".  This can be done at any moment during the  game.
After that, "T" will reset your time limit to 60 seconds.

 Chase HQ II - Ocean

 Hold down "H" and F5 during game loading.  This will remove  all
roadside objects.
 Another cheat:  Enter "INAGARDENIN" while playing.  "T" will now
give you more levels and "N" will skip levels.

 Chip's Challenge - U.S. Gold

 Press  "F" once to flip the screen and then enter  "SAGITTARIANS
MAKE BETTER LOVERS.".  You will get infinite keys, water and fire
shields.  "09/12/57." will give infinite time. "I THINK THEREFORE
I  AM." will make sure that no chips have to  be  collected.  "C"
jumps a level.  You're supposed to enter the spaces and the  full
stops  within the quotes,  so it is said.  Some level  codes  are
"GCCG",  "EVUG",  "OLLM", "QJXR", "QBAO", "FLXT", "XHIT", "LUJT",
"SJUK" and "YBLI".

 Chubby Gristle - Grandslam

 On  the title screen,  enter "BUUURRP".  You will have  infinite
lives.

 Chuck Rock - Core Design

 On  the  screen with the band on,  type one  of  the  following:
"UNCLE SAMS",  "LIFE IS MY DREAM",  "SHE LOVES CLEANING WINDOWS",
"ITS  FAIRY  BOWBELZ",  "FAST AINT THE WORD" (all of  these  give
infinite  energy),  "MORTIMER"  (F1 to F4  select  zones),  "TURN
FRAME"  (change level with "1" to "4") or "ESTRANO"  (LEFT  SHIFT
will make Mr. Rock fly).

 Cisco Heat

 Pause  game.  Enter  "TIME UP" followed by  RETURN.  You'll  get
infinite time. If this doesn't work, try "TIME-UP".

 CJ's Elephant Antics

 "ITCHY  ARSEHOLES" needs to be typed on the title screen if  you
want infinite lives.

 Clown'o'Mania

 Press HELP at any time for extra jumps and razors.

 Color Clash

 These are the level codes.  Do note that "_" stands for  [SPACE]
and  that,  when  read in sequence,  the cheat codes are  a  tiny
little story.
 1: starring, 2: antonius, 3: coloring, 4: rainbows, 5: bestowed,
6: with_the, 7: enormous, 8: quest_of, 9: escaping, 10: from_the,
11:  evilones,  12:  bigmazes,  13:  rescuing,  14: the_girl, 15:
killing_, 16: drnippon, 17: the_evil, 18: japaneze, 19: lunatic!,
20:  dontgive,  21:  itupnow!,  22:  endless?,  23: come_on!, 24:
toohard?, 25: justwait, 26: isitred?, 27: orgreen?, 28: maybe_it,
29:  is_blue?,  30:  no!it_is, 31: suinotha, 32: breethin (sic?),
33: down_his, 34: oriental, 35: neck!!!!, 36: finishme.

 Cool World

 To activate the cheat for this STE game,  enter "COLIN BROKE  MY
WALKMAN".

 Crackdown

 Pause  the  game and enter "SMURF".  F1 will give  you  infinite
lives; F2 does this for player 2.
 Another  cheat:  Pause  game and enter "REVENGE  OF  THE  MENTAL
MOONMEN",  press  "1"  then "P" and...lo and  behold  you've  got
yourself a whoppin' 999 lives.

 Crazy Cars

 Continue accelerating until you drive 204 MPH.  Then press  F10.
Press  the fire button.  The game will now slow down so  you  can
skip the police barriers easily.

 Creatures

 Pause the game and enter "A FINE KETTLE OF FISH" (including  the
spaces). Using the function keys you can now skip levels.

 Curse of Ra

 Some of the level codes are 9:  SONY,  14:  EVEN,  19: ARTS, 24:
RAIN, 29: DEAN, 34: NEAT, 39: HEAT, 44: STAR, 49: COLD, 54: TURN,
59:  PURE,  64: PROD, 69: HIKE, 74: DRIP, 79: LAST, 84: TIRE, 89:
TICK, 94: RULE, 99: MOPE.

 Cybernoid - Hewson

 Enter  "RAISTLIN" on the title screen and you will get  infinite
lives.

 Cybernoid II - Hewson

 On  the title screen,  enter "NECRONOMICON"  or  "NECRONOMIOCON"
followed by SPACE. You will now have infinite lives.

 Daley Thompson's Olympic Challenge - Ocean

 See "Olympic Challenge, Daley Thompson's".

 Darkman - Ocean

 Type "MEA CULTA" anywhere during the game. Function keys will do
interesting things.

 Darkside - Incentive

 Hold down "2" and "8",  press fire.  You will get a digi pic  of
the programmers (yowzers!).

 Daylight Robbery

 Level codes are:  1 - "FIRST",  2 - "DRILLS",  3 - "ZOOOOO", 4 -
"BUSHES", 5 - "MAYHEM", 6 - "XAMPLE".

 Days of Thunder

 Pause   the  game  during  the  qualifying  round.   Then   type
"COMEFLYWITHME".  Now you can (er...) fly.  Press functions  keys
"F1" to "F8" for some interesting viewing bits.

 Death Trap

 Your  name  should be entered as "GIRLS" on the  hiscore  table.
During play, keys F6-F8 will replenish your potion points.

 Defender II - ARC

 Typing "GOATY" will make yourself invincible.  Some level  codes
are "LEMAC",  "ZIPPO",  "LASER",  "DAFAD",  "MAMOG",  "FUNKY" and

Then  put the mouse in the joystick port and hold down the  right
mouse button while it loads.

 Deuteros - Activision

 First,  go to the surface or orbital stores room.  Second,  hold
down SHIFT and "C". The screen will go green. Hold down SHIFT and
press  "C"  again.  Now you will have an infite  supply  of  each
researched product.  Orbital space stations can now also be built
when only having one frame section.

game.  I've  heard another version of this latter cheat as  well:

 Double Dragon - Melbourne House

 Enter  your name in the hiscore table as "NEIL HARDING" and  you
will get infinite credits.  Alternatively,  you can keep the left
mouse button and the [HELP] and [UNDO] buttons pressed while  the
end-of-level  opponent is loading.  If you do that,  the  monster
will not bother you.

 Type  "TERRIFIC" during game play.  F3 will give infinite  lives
and "L" will take you to the next level.

 Driller - Incentive

 At the start, shoot the shed-like thingy you're facing more than
20 times.  You will change into a jet and you will be able to fly
around the game's 3D world.

green  alien (Fnar).  With your third life shoot the  alien  then
fall  into the water to your right,  just before the  ramp.  With
your  fourth  (and last) life shoot the alien then  move  to  the
right  of the middle track.  As the ramp approaches move  towards
the water.  Just before sinking into the water,  hit the ramp and
fly! You should get infinite lives as a result of all this...

 E-Motion - U.S. Gold

 Type "MOONUNIT" on the title screen. F1 will progress one level,
F2 ten levels,  F3 one level back,  F4 ten levels  back.  Another
source mentions you having to type "E-MOTION" instead.

 Empire Strikes Back - Domark

 Hold  down  the  HELP  key  on  the  title  screen,   and   type
"XIFARGROTCEV".  Some keys will do interesting things during  the
game, such as: "L", "C" and "D" (see what they do for yourself).

 Enchanted Land - Thalion

 Type "TCB RULES FOREVER" during the main menu. When starting the
game you will get a level request.  Function keys also do things.
It might also be "TCB LIVES FOREVER" actually.

 Enduro Racer

 Type  in  "CHEAT" after starting.  "T" will give  you  10  extra
seconds,  "S" will transport you one level further, "F" will give
you turbo speed.

 Epic - Ocean

 Some mission codes (hard level):  2 - AURIGA,  3 - CEPHEUS,  4 -

small letters!). You will get infinite lives.

 Go  to the kitchen of a house and shoot the top off  the  fridge
when it's open (be quick!).  You'll get 275,000 points and a warp
to the next house.

 Type  "SPAM"  on the credits section in case you  wouldn't  mind
infinite lives and no further need for keys.

 Load  game and select pilot as usual.  Then select  DEMO  during
skill level selection. Pick a location and continue as usual. Use
joystick and that's it. Enemy weapons will not harm you, "R" will
take you to re-arming and re-fueling. You can now gain medals and
points even when in training mode.

 F-19 Stealth Fighter

 Press  ALT+"H" to get pitch lines on your Head-Up  Display.  Fly
upside down,  turn off engines,  keep your plane at 10 degrees on
the HUD.

 F-29 Retaliator - Ocean

 Enter  "THE  DIDY MEN" on the roster instead of your  own  name.
After  having  finished a mission,  pressing the ENTER  key  will
instantly  land  your plane.  On  the  enrolment  screen,  typing
"CIARAN" will give you infinite weapons.

 Falcon - Mirrorsoft

 Hold down "X" while in flight.  This doesn't do anything. If you
hold down "CONTROL" and "SHIFT" too,  you will get a full set  of
arms again (8 AIM-9Ls and 500 rounds of cannon).

 Fantasy World Dizzy

 Your   hiscore  name  should  be  entered  as   "IMMORTAL"   for
invincibility.

 Fast Lane - Action 16

 Pause the game during qualification with F1 and unpause with the
space  bar.  The  qualifying time will be frozen -  so  you  will
always get to pole position.

 Fernandez Must Die - Mirrorsoft

 Pause  during  the game and type  "SPINYNORMAN".  You  will  get
infinite assassination attempts now.

 Fighter Bomber - Activision

 Type in your pilot's name as "BUCKAROO".  You can now hit "D" at
any time to proceed to your next target.

 Final Blow - Sales Curve

 Pause the game, press F10 six times, then unpause. You will have
infinite energy.

 Final Fight - U.S. Gold

 During  the intro the message "not so fussed..." will appear  on
the  screen.  After that press HELP to activate the  cheat  mode.
What the cheat mode actually entails is a mystery.
 Another  way  to cheat is to pause the game and  enter  "SHERIFF
FATMAN" for invincibility.

 Steve  Bak never was a man for intricate cheats.  You can  press
"i" during the game to get you to a bonus stage; "O" will warp to
the  next  level.  Typing "ATARI" will take you directly  to  the
first bonus level.

 Type "WARP01" for the level 1 password, "WARP02" for level 2, et
cetera.

 Great Giana Sisters - Rainbow Arts

 Hold down the keys "A",  "R",  "M",  "I" and "N" during play.  I
don't  know what happens then,  but it should be something  nice.
Some say you'll go to the next level.

 Gremlins 2

 Enter  your  name as "SINATRA" on the  hiscore  table.  Infinite
lives (i.e. Billies) will be yours.

 Guy Spy

 Skipping  levels can be done with pressing F1.  Of  course  this
can't be done until you have entered the cheat code. This is "GET
BARON VON MAX", and must be typed in on the title screen.

 Enter  "MONITOR." (including the full stop) as your name in  the
hiscore list to enter a system monitor.

 When in manual mode for gears, accelerate to full speed. When at
top  speed,  go  to  neutral gear.  You will  be  invincible  for
collisions. Another source mentioned that it'll just be easier to
stay on the road.

 Hawkeye - Thalamus

 When almost dead,  with no lives, press DELETE to go to the next
level.  If you pause,  push HELP and unpause during the game  you
will get infinite lives.

 Heavy Metal Heroes

 It is not known what will happen when you type "THE OWLS ARE NOT
WHAT THEY SEEM" during the scroller, but it's got something to do
with cheating. Obviously a "Twin Peaks" afficionado here.

 Helter Skelter- Anco

 The passwords to higher levels are:  11 "SPIN",  41  "GOAL",  61
"TWIN",  21 "FLIP",  51 "LEFT",  71 "PLAY" and 31 "BALL". In two-
player mode,  when someone manages to get "EXTRA", simply let one
player lose all his lives - and you'll get infinite lives in  the
bargain.

 Horror Zombies - Millenium

 Hold down "M" and "." and ",". You will get infy lives.
 There  are  also  some passwords.  "BOGEYEATER"  will  give  you
infinite lives,  too,  for example,  but the level passwords  are
"WOLFMAN" (level 2),  "HAMMER" (3), "LUGOSI" (4), "NOSFERATU" (5)
and "GARLIC" (level 6).

 Hudson Hawk - Ocean

 Pause  the  game  and  enter   "SANITYCLAWSISCOMINGTOTOWN".   An
alternative cheatword of "SCIENCEFICTION" is also known.

 Hybris - Gainstar

 Type "COMMANDER" as hiscore entry.  F10 will toggle immunity, F9
will get you to the next level,  F2-F8 will give you all the add-
ons.

 Hydra

 When  typing "KILLKILLKILLKILL" during the game the screen  will
flash. Pressing "F" will now give you fuel, "Q" will display some
stuff and RETURN" will cycle through your weapons.

 Interesting names to enter on the hiscore table (with the things
they  do):  "LUMBAJAK"  (doubles the length of the  energy  bar),
"HEINZ" (three complete energy bars),  "ANNFRANK" (adds  energy),
"OUCH  OUCH"  (allows you to walk on lethal  surfaces,  might  be
"OOCHOUCH"),  "COMMANDO" (no time limit for weapons),  "JUGGLERS"
(worms give double health).

 Inbanana Jones - U.S. Gold

 Enter  "SILLYNAM" as your hiscore name.  You will  have  endless
continues.  When  typing  "IEHOVA" on the title  screen  you  can
activate  the major cheat - the border will turn grey.  "2"  will
proceed  you one flash-point further,  "L" will bring you to  the
next scene and "I" will supply you with an icon.

 Infestation - Psygnosis

 Go  to  the  HUD scratch pad.  Now enter "I  AM  NOT  A  CHEAT",
followed by UNDO, HELP and ESCAPE. Back to the game you will have
all stuff you can possibly need.  Saving your game is of  limited
avail then, though.

 International Ice Hockey

 Score.  Pause the game until the music stops.  You'll get  extra
points.

 International Karate

 Keep F3 and F4 pressed simultaneously for THREE player mode.  If
you press "X" and "1" dring the game it will get slightly faster,
with "X" and "4" it will get slower.

 International Karate + - System 3

 When you're lying on the ground, pause the game. Start again and
you'll be invincible (repeat for each level!).
 You can also type in words while playing,  that do funny things.

 FREZ =  Freezes the game
 PAC  =  A little Pacman appears
 FISH =  A fish jumps out of the water
 BIRD =  A bird flies across the screen
 PERI =  A submarine periscope appears

the objects,  the right one will enlarge it.  Both buttons,  when
pressed simultaneously, will bring you back to the game.

 Pause the game and enter "JC IS THE BEST",  followed by  RETURN.
"N"  will now bring you to the next level;  DELETE will kill  all
enemies on the screen; ";" will get you more lives.
